Might as well make a thread.

So who's considering taking up Maths Extension 2 in their HSC year?

I thought you said later...

Anyway, I'm considering it, but on my results so far I don't think it will do me any good. Unless I study harder in this half of the year...

I was totally going to reply "TTLY ME!!" but then I read your "genuinely considering" part, and refrained. :(

Good luck, you Math genii! (is that right?)

Our teacher said we need a minimum of 75% in MX1 to do MX2. Right on the borderline at the moment.

Well 60 and 72 doesn't look too good for me then...but I do go to a selective school...:)

It's 85% for my school I think. But then again, mine isn't a selective school nor is it anywhere near the top ones :p

Don't know if I'll be able to handle the time consumption of MX2. I definitely want to end up with 11 units for the HSC so if I take it up then I'll have to drop down to 1unit SOR. Mmm.

Yeh.
No idea yet :p

11 or 13 units. I don't know I'm going to cope if I'm going to do MX2 and History Extension :(

I'm sure you'll be able to :), but you'll probably be pretty damn busy!

Haha, I'm hoping so. But I'm leaning more to doing 11 units. Chasers time!

Ooh you go to Sefton! Do you know someone named Louise? She went to your school at the start of year 10, not sure if she's still there though .

Yeh, especially if I'm going to pick up MX2, I really don't think I'd want to do anymore than 11 ;p, maybe 12 max!

Im definately dropping bio and eco at the end. My mind will not change about this. I am thinking of picking up MX2 considering for my half yearly i got 85%. That will make it 11units which is fine since i do well in my other subjects except english.
