Liverpool 2 - Leeds 2

Fair result. Didnt do Liverpool any harm to their CL aspirations cause newcaslte drew aswell
and leeds didnt really do much harm to relegation battle cause wolves and leicester drew.

Good to see viduka and kewell score.... another cracker from kewell !

Boro win something. Hmm, would've liked to see Bolton win. Ah well. Of, that was the Carling Cup - and the score was 2-1.

The ECL? not a chance in hell.. (check the rhyme)

They struggled against a Spanish relegation contender. If they manage to come up against an Italian side (eg. MILAN) then they will have about 1 in a 1000 chance of progressing. They just ain't engineered for the European Futbol

However they will probably win both the FA and EPL, purely because Chelsea are individuals and Man Utd are a team of a lower class to them. Full credit to the Frenchies :D

Meanwhile Inter gets rooted by Brescia 3-1 after resting Vieri and Recoba.. you'd think they'd learn after what happened to Man Utd.

actually I'm fairly certain leeds did damage the pool's ECL aspirations, seeing as they're currently last, and newcastle or charlton have a good chance of putting them away, while it's far less likely liverpool will come up empty handed against pompey (hey remember they just knocked us out of the cup)

==> remaining pessimistic until we're at least a win clear on 4th

relegation contendors or not, these guys had been unbeaten at home in european competition for 22 games or summin like that .Milan could only draw 0-0 there, and even got beaten away tho they played with a weakened side. and let's not forget the last result against an italian side in the CL. our game may not be your traditional european standard game mainly because you won't see a team so geared for attack try and bore their way to a title. i aint saying they will win the thing this season, but with a young squad like ours we should reach the final 4 and go further in the next few years.

oh and on the treble challenge? i think that it's almost impossible to do it for any team in a reasonable domestic league. you just need so much luck to go your way, and fatigue, injuries suspensions etc will take their toll.

yea , i suppose, but when you think about it man u isnt having the best of luck this season...... eg the nine point gap could easily have been a 5 point gap had manu won(which they deserved) at fulham and arsenal drew ( which they also deseved)

Remember, they (already) have like squads for EPL and ECL and other unimportant Cups. :p

And also it's not about fielding the players, but about preventing them from playing for opposing teams, eg. Carlton and Parker. :D
