Hi, I’m currently in Year 10 at a public non-selective high school, but I’ve recently been accepted into a selective high school. I’ve already chosen my Year 11 and 12 subjects:
I wanted to ask if there are any effective ways to prepare for these subjects, especially with the upcoming curriculum changes starting in 2026. I’m also interested in any general advice on what to expect when transferring into a highly competitive school in Year 11. This is the first year I am in Australia from Japan so I’m not really sure what to expect honestly. My subjects aren’t finalised yet and I heard that they have a Japanese course available, so should I take it? Or would I not be allowed?
Any tips or insights from students who have taken these subjects would be really appreciated. Thanks in advance
