Re: Write notes or type notes ?

I typed most of my notes. For maths, I had graphing and sketching programs, so that made it easier to do diagrams. But everyone has their preferences, so you should just go with what works for you.

I type for Economics. Write for everything else.
More econimical??

i tend to write rather than type, typing becomes mechanical, but when writing u tend to read over what you write alot more than what you rather do when typing, i tend to understand things alot more when writing.

Re: Write notes or type notes ?

In year 11, i typed my notes and i realised that i took a longggg time completing a topic because in between i would be on msn, reading emails, logging on to bebo/facebook etc.
Now im in year 12, i want to write my notes but again very veyr time consuming. But i think im gonna stick to writing notes, from the response here it seems more beneficial? yes?

Best way of study notes - syllabus?

Hey all.

Just curious to as if it is a good idea to base study notes around the syllabus of each subject. I was thinking of just following the dotpoints in te syllabus and making sure that every dotpoint and heading is covered in my notes? Is this the best idea for study notes? Is there a more effective way? I just want to have everything i need to know in a form of study notes and I thought if i based it around what you MUST know, it would be beneficial?

Thanks in advance.

yep. this is always good.
just make sure you have everything organised so its not all sheets of paper everywhere.
maybe keep them in folders or something?

Especially for sciences, some humanities, etc. Where there is a clear and comprehensive syllabus to follow.

It doesn't really help with english, maths through.
