You've never been to Macquarie Uni Library have you..
It is a complete wonder compared to those libraries.. And then there are state libraries and so forth..
But Macquarie Library is relatively close to everyone right?
Chatswood -> 545 <- Paramatta
Also, Eastwood -> 545
And a tonne of other buses

a study group sounds great, though won't it be kinda awkward at first?
mum and dad want me to get an english tutor, but this is sounding like a better alternative. :p

I really like Macquarie Uni Library though, closes at 10 and there are group study rooms (UP FOR GRABS, NON RESERVE)
Macquarie Uni Library sounds good
it'll be even better when the railway line finishes.

Never been to Macquarie Library either, but I'm up for it. Btw I live in the South West of Sydney.

I do:

Physics
Legal Studies

Yeah, Macquarie University Library sounds good.

I do

MX2
Eng
Bio
Business
SORI

AND I have already done HSC Mathematics and HSC Mathematics Extension 1 so I am very confident in helping people with that.

In return, I might need extra assistence with English may be? Or Biology even though I am quite decent in it.

Seems like Macquarie Uni Library is the place we should go.

I can help people with English and Science subjects.

So when shall we have our first session?

I can help with.. Uhh..
I can be help by being helped by you, which is the whole point of this study group :uhhuh:
I am available most days, with the exception of Tuesday and Wednesday
MX2, Modern, Hist. Ext., Eng Adv, Physics
Saturday perhaps? Unless people here have exciting lives in the midst of all their studying

lol..study groups are fail btw, the reason we go back to the library, is because we end up socialising rather than studying

i also strongly discourage choosing chatswood as an area for study groups

use uni libraries, if u guys do want to do it

This will fail no offence , but first time meeting people you dont know. Is awkward , and hence no study.

Meet for 1-2 hours to trade sources but other then that , study with people you dont know = fail.

While this is a good idea with all subjects, be careful not to discuss all your ideas and risk being beaten by others in your study group.

Unless of course, you just dont care (about rankings).
If everyone had that mentality, the study group would fail spectacularly.

Come on.. I'm pretty extroverted, so it won't really be awkward for me
Unless you're big and tough and like.. Scary.. Those people scare me

I think the only way for this to succeed is not to get everyone to alter their schedule just to meet up at one place. Better off if you find people who regularly go to a certain place and try and meet up with them.

Like me for example, I'm usually at Parramatta library every Saturday and sometimes the Whitlam library on Fridays - so I wouldn't mind meeting up - because I'll be there - whether you guys are or not.

While in certain aspects that is true, there's no reason it won't work just 'cause schedules have been altered
Also, it'll be even more awkward

"Oh hi, are you the uhh.. Derivative? Yeah hi, I just decided to drop by.................................. Okaaaay, bye"

Whereas if we all meet as a study group

"Hi, I'm _name_" "Hi" "Hi"
Study, swap notes, whatever

Yeah - that would be really awkward.
If you do start a study group - best like talk to each other like on MSN or something before hand, try and get to know the group a bit better - then meet up. It'll be less awkward.
