Hi,
For school this term we are to create a ted talk about a contemporary text, which examines the endurance of one basic plot in the contemporary society. The topic for the ted talk is "People think that stories are shaped by people. In fact, it's the other way around." and the talk must answer the following questions:
How does your text adhere to or challenge conventions of one basic plot (excluding tragedy)?
How does your text reflect aspects of the twenty-first century including values, attitudes and beliefs?
What does this text reveal about being human?
I am thinking about either doing bird box or Joker, but it is quite hard to find any information on either of those texts.
If anyone has done anything similar in the past, or if anyone has any ideas about what text would be fit for the task, it would be great if you could assist me in this.
Thank you,
Dhwanit
