the confidentiality of the UAI pin made the whole thing much more exciting.
i felt like i was being recruited to be a spy when it was all encoded in that tamper-proof square...
it was quite difficult to open though.

I would say put at least one low UAI course just in case you bomb the HSC. I knew a guy that put all 90+ places thinking he was top shit and actually got below 90... hahaha served him right for being cocky.

Not that any of you smart people would get below 90

its a rip off, but i guess theyve given us plenty of time, so its easily avoided, is htere ne otha charges incorporated with submission of preferences?

u gotta pay $16 to submit them.. and yeh just the late fees
i think its just a rough indication of what course people want to do this year.. and some need early application and things

That's precisely why two of my preferences are chemical engineering and regular science, both ~81-82

if there is no chance in terms of accomodation (dont underestimate ur uai though ), why not put down other courses? The 9 preferences are there to help you so make use of them

what do u mean other courses? like other than law u mean? lol. or u mean other than the two in syd? well, cos if i (by some inexplicable chance of luck!!!) happened to get in to either UTS or Macq, i think id just try REALLY REALLY hard to get $ to go.....if i was offered a spot there is NO WAY i wouldnt take it there! but i do wanna stay in newie i think. I couldnt think of any other courses that i wanna do.....cos in the end i would think it was just a waste of what 4+ yrs and $$$$!!!! wen all i wanna do is get into law (eventually)

If i defer for a yr i can make enuf $ 2 b elligable 4 livin away from home $$ off the Gov't, so yeah....its all good. lets just c what i get in the end tho shall we! i mite juz be gettin a permanent job at Target for the rest of my life considering the Trials i just did

No, I'm just saying that if there is absolutely no chance (which is what I gathered from your post...whether it be right or wrong), then you shouldnt waste preferences on courses which you might be able to achieve UAI-wise but not in terms of moving, accom and practicality.
