I shall tell you one thing without making you shift any bricks at all: the HBP is neither Harry nor Voldemort. And that's all I'm saying on THAT subject until the book's published.

For what it's worth, my money's on Tom Riddle- when asked on her site what happend to Tom's diary, she said she couldn't answer because it was centeral to the plot the future books.

and since this was originally going to be the title of the chambers of secrets. aparently she planned on revealing something in that book that she ended up deciding not to, and had to change the title. so tom riddle does sound like a likely suspect. though that would mean that she considers tom riddle to be a separate person from voldermort

Its always the introverted, clumsy, nerdy kid that ends up being extremely important, or ends up having a secret in their past, or making a noble sacrifice...Neville is definitely going to be important in future books... in my opinion anyway.
