Should I put Ferreira on ahead of Puyol, I'm not sure?

I'd ditch Adriano. He's in rather poor form and might not necessarily start. Puyol and Ferreira are both equally good investments, based on the strengths of their groups. Vieira is a bit expensive for a midfielder that isn't likely to get a lot of assists, much less goals.

I basically chose Vieira with the left-over money .. just thought that France, if on song, could really run-up a couple of good scores against Korea and Togo. If that happens, there's *probably* a solid chance that Vieira will have a couple of assists at least.

Adriano .. ok, I guess I can rest him. We all know that he's just a goal away from hitting form again, though .. because with him, one goal in a game = three goals in a game.

vieira is so past it nowadays. you could probably pick up an angolan or saudi midfielder who's better value.

I'm in! I'm still tinkering with my team...and will post it when i'm finished. I see that alot of you guys have focussed on having strong defenders. This is a good tactic...and one that I used successfully when I won the BOS Fantasy EPL comp in the 2004-05 season because it is easier to guarantee that a player will keep a clean sheet than score a goal. My focus for the world cup, however, to create a team consisting of the most prolific goal scorers.

in a lot of those goals the keepers were shit, nevertheless the baldy did show some great dribblinh skill. though disappointing keeping by opposition teams.
