We aren't doing DSS either, instead TPS and multimedia.

dss - cause itz like info sys & databases topic, so should blitz through it
multimedia - it should be fun

i dont think ipt is boring compared to

other subjects that i do such as

biology and maths and business studies

ipt last term was very good we got to do custom multimedia projects for some presentation night it took shitloads of time but the finished product was a website that was at like medium corporate standard.....

although the theory can be a tad boring other aspects of the course are good...

Yeah ipt can be a bit boring at times but some parts are interesting (i.e. the practical work part). i finally learned how to make a realational database, and plus we made a really cool website for definitions about words used in communication systems, it was semi-pro doing that was quite fun too

We are moving onto multimedia systems next week, thats our last topic, i think were flying through the course to leave us heaps of time for revision

we used to have to have some in comp rooms some in other rooms ( in yrs 7-10) mainly coz my skool has 1100 students but now we have all in comp labs...except we only get 4 periods of 80 mins a cycle instead of 6 coz of small class

the majority of our lessons are double periods so we go to classrooms and do theory for the first lesson, then to a computer room for the second period where we work on our major works etc

so do u guys have all ur lessons in computer labs? or sometimes u go to classrooms and write notes n shit....were always on in a computer lab, and we log in every lesson, lol and work with itunes n emailing goin on.. whats everyone elses work environment?

pretty much the same were on the computers 10 periods of 60 minutes every 2 weeks doing some question bs that the teacher puts on the lan + some prack work if we are lucky....

some people full play yeti sports but i think its been blocked now.......

it usto be good when they had windows media streaming on but now they have blocked that with like 100's of websites + they take every thing off basically that represents fun.....

we have 4 out of our 5 lessons in computer rooms
only on fri we are in the WOODWORK ROOMS... with tables where we do written work
the other days inc our double period we r in the comp rooms

lol wow, its weird to see how everyone else has their lessons, we have 10 periods of 45 minutes, we usually have one double a fortnight so we have ipt everyday cept for one day.........and were always on the laptops typing up pir work, we dont do much question-work thing.......mostly practical,

we have 5 thats 1/2 the number of yours
plz tell me that was 10 lessons a fortnight?

lol yeh, oh hang on i lied, we dont have 45 minds anymore! lol, they cut out 2 mins of every lesson so we can have 15 mins of DEAR (drop everything and read) in the morning intergrated with rollcall..........lol how sad!!

we have that in the morning-homeroom
we also have ASSEMBLY every morning
but we count the 45mins including time 2 walk to class and get there etc
assembly and homeroom-COMPULSORY goes from 8:30am-9am
so really it would be shorter
classes start from 9
shortened periods r a waste of time at my school-hate when we have assemblies
wtf can u do in 1/2 an hour

hmm 10 periods is a fair bit

we have only like 8 periods of 50 mins + 3 optional periods
