I have 10 to receive loads, 47 to IDT and 126 on WOWPOS, lol. So many numbers.. when they gonna bring in Galaxy

p.s. They really need to.. our People Planner is fucked. CSM had to hand write all the front end staffs rosters out because it either WIPES the shift completely (new employees have been wiped completely) or fucks it up.. 5 hour shifts turning into 6.5 hour shifts with 0.5 hour lunch breaks and weird shit going on... suffice to say, CSM was very frazzled-looking after she finished the rosters for the 8th time....

you should make your wowpos number to correspond to one of them [back office numbers] i reckon, and fuck it's so stupid that office cashiers cant recieve loads, being able to recieve makes DGMS so much easier, because you can correct discrepancies yourself.

The procedure states that the employees Back Office number is allocated first, depending on their position in the store, and their WoWPOS number is the same as Back Office.

Eg. CSM would require department manager privileges in Back Office/Stock Management so they may be allocated #12. Their WoWPOS number would then also be set to #12 and given the appropriate access level and linked to the appropriate checkout banks.

I'm 138 on WoWPOS, and 885 on Stock Management (Though I have a feeling that a heap of us have that number, as we're not allowed to change the password).

I did exactly the same thing with the SCO barcode, and it hasn't expired yet. With WOWPOS SCO, the numbers aren't randomised...they're actually your sign on numbers and password. You can use freely available software to decipher the barcodes numbers and find out what the user number and password actually is.

Say my barcodes numbers are: 9200005723459

57 is my user number and 2345 is my password...

Oh I've spent the last hour doing stuff with barcodes! I was trying to find barcode decoders for ages, no doubt if I found one I would have realized it was my login numbers. Funnily enough, "online barcode decoder" was all it took (facepalm).

I noticed, when decoding my SCO barcode, it displayed an extra duplicate of my last number. For example, it displayed the 9 (at the end, in yours) twice when I decoded mine..

Babi, have you tried changing the password?
Usually Gun numbers are given to individuals, so it can be traced back to who did what if something goes wrong...

Never tried changing the password, I think there's three of us with the same number so thats why we're not allowed to change it. I know its dodgy, but honestly I can't remember the last time I used a gun for anything other than RTC/Cig Stocktake (and even then someone else has to log me in).

I use Barcode Recognition Software v4.7...its a great little program. I would buy it if there was a MAC version.

Well that is the idea of the gun numbers, so things can be easily traced back to whoever did something. I have been trying to get my own for about a year now, me and my department manager just share numbers which is a little annoying at times when we are on separate guns. So I just log him out just to piss him off as a joke.

Its just down to store management being bothered to go in and create my own user in the gun. I have told the store manager the "easier to trace back to something that I do wrong" and the response I got was "well your not going to do anything wrong are you?!?!?!".

That's true... but for instance yesterday I made a mistake of dumping some claims under 89 instead of 99 (damaged as opposed to insurance stock) and was pulled up about it today, because they saw it was done on my numbers...

Yeah the number at the end is an automatic random number generated by the contents of the front values.

Dunno actually since I got rid of the printout - I'm rarely on SCO coz I'm casual...
But from what I can remember, yes it did start with 25 followed by a bunch of zeros

In an ideal world, but who has time to be that organised these days? At the moment when a new operator starts we just give them the next available number that's free... hmm, I suppose we could clean it up but that'd require a lot of people to learn a new number lol, and I don't think that'd go down to well, since not all operators have back office privileges. Though, we do have our SM as 1 in Storeline, STM 2, SSM 3, SSO 4, DMs 5-10 etc but our CSM is 51 and 2IC 52... lol *shrug*

I believe that may be your foodbank login - at least, 885 is our foodbank login, so it strikes me as slightly more than coincidence. 'Foodbank' being the donation thing we do where we send stock back to the DC rather than throwing it in the bin - the reason separate numbers are needed is to keep track of the amount ($$) of stuff we're donating, so that management can go sucking up to head office about their generosity and commitment to the foodbank program. </embittered employee rant>

Next time you're at work, go to the office and punch in 885 into the Back Office program (don't actually log in with the password), and see what name comes up. I'd be interested to know if 885 is foodbank at other stores, or just ours.

Ha, one of the supervisors did the funniest thing the other day. She had finished counting my register and instead of pressing the 'OK' button hit Cancel and the whole thing was cancelled and she had to start again. Lucky there were no customers waiting though.
