yeah matrix is actually insane, i do 3u and phys at matrix honestly the questions they give r like band 4 and band 5 q's mostly so i would recommend going somewhere else insteadMate. Goals honestly should not be a thing. Aim for as high as you can. If your parents are worried, you'll have to invest in a cheaper alternative to Matrix because their prices are actually insane.
Leave matrix right tf now wht r u doing with ur life other than wasting ityeah matrix is actually insane, i do 3u and phys at matrix honestly the questions they give r like band 4 and band 5 q's mostly so i would recommend going somewhere else instead
hey, engineering studies is soooo hard!!! I put more effort into engineering than math adv last year accelerated and i did so much better in math.most people in top selectives go to all
i personally dont, but i would if it wasnt for bloody engineering studies
1. Don’t go matrix, can’t answer the rest. Most people I know aiming for that range (or anything about 90 for that matter) don’t do any tutoring, but I don’t go to a selectiveWhats your opinion about the questions that I had -
- Going for one big tutoring provider(like Matrix) over different providers (Dr Du for Maths and Ace for Physics etc.) as I'm not aiming for a 97+ ATAR? where do the kids who target 90-95 ATAR usually go to?
- What are your thoughts on Online vs in campus tutoring? what are the other advantages of picking online vs in campus? Also I don’t want it to take a toll on my mental health so should I go for online tutoring instead? what do other students who are targeting a 90-95 ATAR prefer?
- My parents would pay for all subjects but I know they are a bit worried about the expenses for tutoring. And does online offer good value for money in that case?
1. don’t go matrix - expensive and not that good. 90-95 atar students typically wouldn’t spend 2k a term on tutoring (like dr du), i think a cheaper one like ngo is much betterWhats your opinion about the questions that I had -

if u have a tight budget then go to tutors that r cheap (like peak for the sciences) as i’ve heard that they are decent. don’t go to tutors like ace or zhangs or sigma and go broke lol. or just get tutors for the subjects u rlly struggle with or smth1. don’t go matrix - expensive and not that good. 90-95 atar students typically wouldn’t spend 2k a term on tutoring (like dr du), i think a cheaper one like ngo is much better
2.f2f is always better unless ur going to a tutor that requires a lot of travel then do online - but i’d rather find a good tutor in my area and do f2f (if there r any)
3.depends, if ur tutor is rlly good then maybe
Same before i started ngo i hated mathngl. I wouldn't have found my passion for math without Du. But I kinda get ur point.
Funny thing was that my fav subject was english up until start of y8 - incredibly ironic since i absolutely loathe english now. But that was probably because i used to be pretty bad at math i still remember my first y7 math test. I got like 57% for that, chucked it in the bin and never showed my parents.did u enjoy any subjects ?? idk u've always seemed like a certified stem lover
i would go different providers - more specialised centers if yk what i mean? i.e zhangs/peak/sigma/etc. only do/focus on sci, or centers which are known for a subject i.e du for math.
in person works better. i don't get the point for mental health; there's only possibly a detrimental effect if your travel time takes forever. different ranges of atar don't correspond with learning preferences; that's on an individual level. see what you prefer/work best with.
some online tutoring works fine but others are just as @carrotsss said, glorified yt videos
bruhhhh my bad i jus dont kno where to go for maths like physics is fun at matrix but idkLeave matrix right tf now wht r u doing with ur life other than wasting it
sounds like all of my yr 9 science topic tests during sem 1Funny thing was that my fav subject was english up until start of y8 - incredibly ironic since i absolutely loathe english now. Hold up u remember your yr 7 results? That's beyond concerningFunny thing was that my fav subject was english up until start of y8 - incredibly ironic since i absolutely loathe english now. 1. I only did tutoring for Maths, as someone who aimed for 90-95. I know people who did Matrix whose results were good. If you were to pick, I would probably choose in person tutoring.Whats your opinion about the questions that I had -

Not rlly but that one math test will forever by engrained into my headHold up u remember your yr 7 results? That's beyond concerning
not sure how others would reply bc its different for everyone so i think u should consider a range of opinions on thisI think I might need help to get a good score, cant do it just myself. Whats your opinion about the questions that I had -
