Acceleration?

Start accelerating in Year 9 or something.
Do 1x 2U or 2x 2U courses each year, start racking up the units and accumulating HSC Marks.

That, or becoming a zombie :D

But he/she received Band 6 in 18 UNITS in 2001 alone. how can he fit 14 units in James Ruse timetable? (18 units - 2 U cosmology - 2 U Philosophy = 14 units)

Okay, I see.

18U in one year?
Let's think about that one.

13-14U fits snuggly into my timetable, so maybe Ruse has the same. (45 minute periods, 7 periods a day, except Thursday Sports)

So he/she has Saturday school?
Friday TAFE? (Still a possibility for 'extra' learning)

Morning lessons? (7:30am)
Afternoon lessons? (3:30 to 5pm or something?)

That could work...

maybe, probably not in tafe, coz he didn't do any tafe courses.

He got band 6 in:
Mathematics Extension 1
Mathematics Extension 2
Advanced English
English Extension 1
English Extension 2
Economics
Chemistry
Physics
Cosmology - Distinction Course
Philosophy - Distinction Course

I feel stupid now. I'm going to sleep :(

He did 20 units in yr 12 which is 4u(cosmology and Philosophy) by distance and Chinese BS on satuarday so he did 14units at Ruse by day.

lets think bout his lifestyle, all he did was study, study, study. but that was his choice. im pretty sure if we committed ourselves to study like he did we would all probably achieve what he did or come close to it. i do 10 units including 4 unit maths. why i didnt do more unit was and i think goes to all of us is that we want to also have fun and time to hang out with our friends. maybe that guy had friends, but do u think he had alot of time to go out with them, or did he have to stay home and study? thats the sacrifice he probably took. but i know if i had to choose his lifestyle or mine (and still probably make it to uni), i would choose mine. here's a question for all of you? would you rather have your life or his?

its seems like your on your way there, but i have to question your standard english and general maths mark. they wont be good for you unless your in the top 5-10% of the state. know this from friends experiences. but i say you should achieve that uai
goodluck

just because he did 20 units doesnt mean he didnt have a life

look, im not criticising the guy for doing 20 units. good for him, im happy for him, but im saying he probably sacrificied many things to do that amount of work. maybe he didnt who knows. but my question was that would you like to try and do 20 units like him and try to juggle them all together or do you like your choices now? by the way i didnt say that he did all those things, i said probably.

i dont think you understood me there newbie
