The stats I posted included transfer students etc as well - which might explain the discrepancy.

I think the cut-off for Rural applicants is 90 but you have to work for at least 6 years in a rural area after getting your degree.

trhat rural scholarship is different
even non rural ppl can appy 4 thath..

my que was meant to mean y is it lower for rural applicants??

dont rural ppl in general get into uni with lower UAI points

I think its rural coz there is a greater chance of them going back to rural, and they need doctors there

Rural applicants get lower entry requirements in general because they are seen as being at a disadvantage compared to city students. In medicine they are given more lenient requirements because or what pri said above, as well as "the unique experiences country students bring to the cohort as a whole".

From memory, Weisy, turtle_2468 and RageAgainstBOS are doing Med this year. I have a feeling Spice Girl is too.

I selected my own estimate and the principal just signed it, HEHE 99. Although dosnt look like i got an email, oh well. LOOKs like medicine is no go, at least i tried.
Now i just do well in UAI to get to my other more desired courses.
