A friend of mine took 6 hours to enrol for an Arts course this year.

why is it called o- week if it only goes for three days?
I really want to know the true story. Is it because the commitee was so disorganised? I also want to know why ours starts a week later than UNSW.

because it'd sound stupid if you called it 'O-3days'. Plus it's Orientation Week - you do other stuff during the other days, like fix up timetables etc.

Do you know if it was ever, like o- week becuase they had those activities wednesday- onwards for the whole week, not just three days? It doesn't really bother me, i'm just wondering?

The first 2 days are like activities for the colleges or something I think.

During the enrolment, each of us was given our own USYD email account.
My email address format is that of first two letters in my first name, my surname and number 8018 followed by @usyd.edu.au
Out of curiosity, is this the standard format of email address for all students, and what does number 8018 mean?

Its just a randomly assigned number as far as I know.

To make your e-mail address more palatable you can set up an alias e-mail address, and all your mail will still end up in the same place.

For example, my alias student e-mail is the same as all my other e-mail accounts, just with @student.usyd.edu.au at the end :)

Okay, how do you make the alias email account? I checked MyUni webpage, there was nothing about changing the account information for your email or anything.

Just out of curiosity, do we get student diaries? If so, where do we grab them from?

a spin back to the original title --
awh, my enrollment wasn't that bad.. few paces shy of hell.
reckon i spent more time on the train and food-searching..
a mate of mine had her Arts enrollment in the morning and mine was in the arvo.
following the 'steps' in the great hall twice is something to rethink..
laughed our way out when we saw how the Arts line had started winding its way around the place..

There was a table of freebies from the Union in the Great Hall during enrolment. They had ad-filled student diaries there.
