I have ONE pair of shoes I wear regularly (plus dedicated sports shoes, e.g, cycling cleats, that cannot be used for anything else) and these are joggers.

I do have 2 pairs of cycling shoes for use with different pedals

What's up with Nudie jeans?
Why are they soo great anyway?
they're better than your standard pair of jeans in terms of fit and quality to an extent.
but they're too overhyped nowadays, what trendoid hasn't got a pair..

Those are the essential wardrobe staples. I often buy these items at Cotton On or American Apparel. You can throw in some extra items and then mix and match with the clothes.
I thought the idea was generally to spend big on the essential items so they are good quality and last, then buy cheapish trendy pieces to go with each season

In my wardrobe: (gosh i love this post)
:cook:
Clothing:

Basic tanks (Grey, black, white and recently added a whole sort of colors).
V-neck shirts
Polo necks
T-shirts
Dress (maxi, mini, knee)
Long tops
Cardigans
Shorts (knee length and short).

Black and Grey workpants (3 pairs)
Tights (3/4 leggings and stockings)
Skirts (mini, maxi and knee).
Jackets (both summer and winter)
Vest
V neck jumpers...

Gym: (i prefer quality based brands rather than resorting to cheapie ones like cotton on, supre) and that draws the sweat away....

Running singlets, inspirational tank tops, shorts, supportive crops and mesh hoodie from Lorna Jane (for floor based classes like pump, attack etc..)
Running singlet, close fitted tops, tights and crops from Brasilfit
Cropped pants and a crop from Lululemon
Singlets, shorts, one crop and tights from Running bare (I am in favour of the three brands above, so i don't buy much from running bare these days..)
A nike crop.
Asics kayanos (floor based gym)
Spin shoes (for indoor cycling classes)

Others:

Shoes (all flats/ boots/ heels come from supersoft, sandler, easysteps and a few casual shoes).
Yoga mat
Socks
Undergarments
Swimmers
Bags
Stuff for wearing at home (tracksuits, jackets, old t-shirts)
