Advanced English- n/a
Biology- Using a combination of Heinemann, Spotlight and Dot Point.
Chemistry- Using a combination of Jacaranda, Chemistry Contexts and Dot Point.
MX1: Fitzpatrick, Understanding, Excel and Coroneous (for hw set by school)
Modern History: Macquarie and Excel guides.

With the majority of my subjects, I find it much easier using the textbooks than the handouts the teacher gives me, which can sometimes have no relevance to the topic itself.

Modern History - Teacher prepares sheets which is better than getting a textbook for it.
Chem - Surfing, Conquering Chem
Bio - Surfing, Jacaranda

Me neither. I don't get the use of the poll, and how it's connected with textbooks.

And I agree with fenris - how is self-defence connected with social science?

It's very good; easy-to-follow explanations and fully worked solutions. It's also in colour.
I heard also that it's a great book for 4U. Might consider getting it if I do it :)

I already have the 4u book and I'd recommend it. Definitely one of the top textbooks available.
I found the Fitzpatrick 4U book pretty good. I'm probabaly going to prefer Terry Lee over Cambridge for it.

They are both as good! Get both as they offer a large variety of questions.
Excuse my ignorance, but where can I buy his textbooks? Your local Dymocks, Angus?, or special order?.

And also are the examples explained in clear, concise english (unlike the Cambridge text, which although looks to cover everything, is too overwhelming and complex (for me :))

Thnks guys

At my school you just ask the teacher and they hook you up with order forms.

Is it generally cheaper? I wish my school could do that.
