I like the international students from Asia around campus, they mainly keep to themselves, they're also polite and quiet unlike the Yanks and Canadians.

I also enjoy the scenery , escpecially in the summer time.

:)

I like the quad. It's really nice to sit and eat lunch in the sun.
The cappuccino's from the quad and coffee cart are awesome:)

I might sound real stupid here, but why do Americans come to study in Australia? Surely the Unis over there are much better than ours.

.... because there's more to uni than just a 'good' uni?

It's for the experience dude. And why do you assume their unis are much better? It's common knowledge their top institutions are, but not everyone can get in.

Ah you see I have to live with yanks, they aren't that bad. Its quite fun to foist aussie customs on them and see how they react.

I have to say unsw looks great during the summer time, but ashamed to admit I don't spend that much time outside appreciating all of it

But you'd assume (rightfully so) that whatever else there is to offer is offered by American uni's also, no? Only thing they don't have is Australian culture, if there were any such thing.

I agree. Also, in America the majority of the girls are so willing to put out, or so I hear.

They generally only come for a semester. A semester studying internationally probablly looks good on your transcript and they usually do bludgy subjects anyway, from what I've seen. It's a holiday, with a minor academic focus.

Sometimes they're just doing bludgy subjects but one of the seppos i study with is planning to become an engineer and has a passion for maths and phyics, and actually takes higher math and higher physics

Thanks for creating this thread.
At least UNSW is one nice campus which unlike UTS which is scattered like bird droppings across the city and USYD which has grass, grass and more grass.

I can't imagine going to another uni.
