if its MX2 its gotta be out of 100

for mx2, 60-65% would be close to 90

even though it was about this in 2008, the cutoff isn't usually this low. a lot of people found this year's paper abnormally hard (including me). i'd say historically, the cutoff has been more like 70-75%.

You know the one thing that I still don't understand about the system is that why does the Board of Studies align marks? I understand why they scale and moderate them, but I can't see any apt reason for aligning marks. No offense to anyone who got a mark beyond their expectations, but aligning is just like giving marks to people who don't deserve them.

The aligning process is designed so that no one is advanataged or disadvantaged from having a harder/easier exam compared to other years. In other words it tries to ensure that marks are somewhat comparable between different years.
