my teachers use this site, i was told all about it, even though i was alrready a member, at a s+C study day in the city. and then my history extension teacher refers to this site non stop!
i think they use the resource section more than i do.
we get examples of exemplar answers in class, and ive already read them! lol

Well there's no escaping this site now. My school's teachers even browse this site to check whether people are cheating on their assignments. I'd have to say it is a pretty good site :)

I discovered BOS because my chemistry teacher reccommended it. She reffers to it constantly.
"Have a look at the bored of studies website. That's B-O-R-E-D of studies"
"There's some useful information in the resource section of bos"

And then she gives us assignments from here to look at.

All teachers know about it, many use the resources and recommend them as study materials...

I cant access bos at school cause its blocked by the ceo

category: School Cheating Information.

I emailed the admin and got the following reply

" All I need is for a teacher to say this site is of value to learning and it will
be unblocked. Link it to your learning and it will be allowed. My greatest fear
is the value of the information ... what if this person who is running this site
has got it wrong?

Bottom line is that while CEO has blocked it, it can be allowed if good reason
is shown why. I don't have the ability to block sections ... it is all or
nothing."

i was referred here last year by a teacher :)

I seriously think I'm the only person to know about BOS at my school. Yes I know how selfish that sounds, but nobody, not even my teachers talk about it. Surely they must know about it, yes? Perhaps I'll put an announcement on the board in the foyer out of spite of the teachers not telling us.

ROFL all the teachers in my school know about this site- some of them even recommend looking at it to give us an idea of how other schools mark essays/assignments. However we do get warned to be careful who we take "ideas" from (on the internet- not just BoS) because some of the resources aren't of a particularly high standard- specifically, in English.

pfft, standard, who cares about that? As long as you get the satisfaction that comes with intellectual property theft, that's all that matters.
... not when you borrow an idea and the teacher is like o__O "Where'd u get this crappy point from? BoS?"

Some of my teachers know about the site, and they don't really mind it at all. My economics teacher uses the resource section ocassionally to check for plagiarism.

my teachers say this is a great site, but the resources section can be wrong at times .. like the actual syllabus dot points summaries can be wrong in some contexxts and yeah.

so they just told us to look out for it and not rely on it purely.

In the words of my teacher,
'Oh no no no! It's B-O-A-R-D of studies' She honestly thought I was going to fail english because of this. Shortly after she found out that BORED existed as well...how embarassed she was! BAHAHA
