General rule of thumb is only button up the top button, maybe middle button if necessary for a 3 button blazer.

Generally a lot of places at night are viable, you really just need to wait till nightfall. I find though the best place is really just your own home - you can certaintly switch around to different parts of the house (if you're wanting to keep it interesting). Guess you just need to wait for both parents to go out of the house though.
