Anyone here get nominated, if so can you show photos of your artwork?

I was lucky enough to be nomintated (i found out by mail on friday)

Here is my major work. (edited added new pictures)
16 Pictures (totals 622KB) Its very much worth the wait!

Hey congratulations! I'm not surprised because it looks AMAZING.
I did web design for my BOW and submitted a CD-ROM so I don't know how they'd ever display it. You know Art Express is the most popular free exhibition of the AGNSW all year round and my teacher thinks it's all contrived but who cares? A gallery exhibition is a gallery exhibition! I can't wait to see it in person though .

I got in too three people from my class. Um... well, I've posted photos in that "BOW pics" thread. I'm sorry I'm just really lazy... they're in there somewhere...

yea i got shortlisted but my pic is too big to display. 15 girls got in from my class out of 35!!!

i got selected too- yay... i am excited.
reality check- were 1 out of 800...
oh well, lets all be proud we got pre selected.

And then - having a 1/4 chance of getting into art express...

Still - I don't think it's very fair that they're already selecting and some schools haven't been marked yet...

Hehe, same, lol. Don't worry, just cos you didn't get anything it doesn't mean you can't paint. It should be the kicker to make you paint more. Or whatever you do.

If we havnt got mail on friday does that mean we def. arent in?? could there still b more in the mail? is mail deliverable on weekends? A guy in my class got in and he lives a few suburbs away (no offense but his work is shit) and id be pissed off if neither me or my friend who constantly got best marks didnt get in and he did (im trying my best not to sound up myself but hey) argh! Any response appreciated!!

hey everyone.... yeah i didnt get pre-selected for art express major major bummer coz i always wanted to get in since little ol' yr f*cken 7 lol oh well... i just hope i still get a band 6 for it... coz i remembered that art express is all about theme aswell... soooo doesnt mean those who didnt make it wont get a decent mark... theres still hope marks wise!

anyways i wanted to know what youz thought of my B.O.W. i finally got a chance to scan em and put sum stuff together...

its under mixed media... its a 5panel combination of 8 digital media plates and 8 charcoal drawing plates on bases of text etc... take a look... the colours i used were tones of red,white and black... the text is my own of all the lyrics i've written and poetry... tell me watchya think...

if ur realli seriez bout ur art, u wont stop doin it..how many greats were given the privellige of their work in an art gallery at age 17, 18???.....none that i kno of

ill be really pissed if wen i go 2 chek it out next yr, they have a bunch of works on self identity and personal growth and discovery.....maybe that y i didnt get selected..i purposly went against that crap...so maybe it was a bit much for them?

they havent seen the last of me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!...thats a promise

I'm nominated too amongst 6 members from my school to be pre-selected - i don't think i will make it to the exhibition though - still, hoping for a high band 6!

i doubt that this will be selected, cos from the pics it looks good, from close up it's still not 'finished' if you know what i mean - and it's not sprayed with a fixer yet!
