heh-
I've got an unusual situation-

I want to do Law, I want to be a barrister, but I love ancient history.

I did this stupid speech thing as well as an essay and had a couple of interviews with mq staff, and they said that I could graduate with a BAnc Hist (honours) / LLB, but first year I have to do mainly history subs, and start of second year, I'll do Law bits, with other History units...

are you already in the llb degree?

if not, then you will have to apply to transfer to law and make the quota, hence why you start the law subjects in second year.

What he said. And the workload of AHST is a lot different in uni, by 3rd/4th year you will be doing insane amounts of research so just be prepared.

uh... thanks for the help, I guess.

I got a scholarship into Arts/Law, but basically said that I wanted to do certain ancient history subjects that I couldnt normally do. has nothing to do with transfers, quotas, or "hence law subs second semester"

to "be prepared" doomsday-trying-to-break-newbie man above---

I am always prepared. =)

ECON110
LAW114
STAT171
I don't think so- i think a girl in my year got that, and she got 99.45, whereas mine was lower.

Just wondering- you do one law unit each semester first year, don't you? Law, Lawyers, and Society, then Jurisprudence, right?

hmmm i'll have to dig up the piece of paper.

I remember that there is a "super innovation" and just a normal "innovation" one, as well as a Law one- "James Cox" or something?

I tried for a sporting one, but I didn't do that great in the trials.

Edit: Can't find piece of paper, but I remember that it's not the Cox one because that requires you to go straight into law, and they said that i was invalid for that one

TressCox one...funding and more importantly, a guranteed clerkship interview. Thing is...that one is open to all of the other law schools.
