This is a pretty strange poll...

If we look at the development of calculus the key role was probably played by Archimedes' discovery of how to square a parabola segment.

In the 19th century Riemann and Galois perhaps had the most significant legacy.

In the 20th century no one was nearly as influential as Grothendieck.

I would say Euler or Gauss. I think Joseph Lagrange has alot of really interesting theories too.

At the moment the best mathematians would be Terry Tao & Grigori Perelman (for solving poincare conjecture)

have to go with newton because of calculus. since most stuff need calculus to be solved, and plus most of the 3u and 4u math content is related or based on calculus. most importantly, i love calculus lol, the only part in school where i got 100% in for 3u and 4u math XD
