I've put 1) UTS Fashion & Textiles - 2) Design @ COFA and i can't even rememebr the rest! I'm also applying for the Advanced Diploma in Fashion Design @ East Sydney TAFE- so hopefully will get into one of those 3!
I would like to become a fashion designer, but would also love to be an illustrator/art director for a magazine!
I did art & textiles this year, so i have no idea what type of marks i'll get for my major works or UAI!
I'm working on my portfolio now. I had SCA - object art & design, but took it off at the last minute! I might put it back- what do you need for the portfolio for that one?
there seems to be a lot of people applying for Design @ COFA this year. Did anyone else go to the open day?

yeah, I put both design abd digital media @ COFA in my preferences, wish there was a combined course with something else other than art education though. they have an arts/fine arts course, but no arts/design. =(

and here I am, probably the only one from mmy school who wants to do it. *sigh*

What I find amusing is the fact that this thread was started in '02, and there's still only one person who ended up picking Industrial Design.

the last i heard of roo she was doing some IT course
stressed02 is doing design at cofa
mercurydrinker is doing media studies at unsw

I picked industrial design/int.studies @ uts ^.^ so make that 2!

hope everyone who picked viss com gets a bad uai so we all can get in.. the uai cutoff is horrible, especially for the combined degree.. :S

Ha! That's the course I might be going into next year. I did my HSC last year, but I deferred that offer so I could go to Enmore tafe (mistake - the workload is killing me). But... I also put down more preferences for straight Vis Comm and the combined degree. I don't think I'll get combined though - I was off by about 1 point last year. Plus, my personal statement sucked.

I want an art-ish job

my goal is to do an fine arts degree then do a two year curatorship and then move on to be a curator at the museum of contemporary art or any art gallery but MCA is my dream place to work........

I've decided to do law instead of graphic design.
I've got the graphic design skills and it's getting me no where, true i don't know how to market myself but u kno... i can't be bothered.
Graphic design is a great and useful skill to have however
