This is discusting. In the newspaper this morning in the Sunday Telegraph or Herald, there was an article headlined: Class Error.

The goverment sent to letters to two old teachers, who are dead. Their fmaily recieves these letters and were discusted and frustrated that the goverment didn't have the decency to check records.

The department sent letters to retired teachers asking them to return as its dug itself a HUGE whole that it cant get out of with this pay dispute. They claimed there was no teacher shortage and that they have 30 000 teachers on casual lists. Unfortunately for them this is incorrect and as such they have attempted to make up for it by trying to entice retired teachers back into the profession. And they try to claim that they attract quality students into teaching???
Little fact for whoever it was that they should just quit if they dont like it. Only 30% of qualified teachers actually teach. Hence the Department has to attempt to hire retirees
