so i assume when the xbox 360 is released in Australia, our games would work fine on your console? no compatibility issues there?

there will be compatibility issues but I want to import games from the US as they are much cheaper. Although there are quite a few region free games nowadays (half the launch titles if not more).

A mouse can be used for the 360, but mouse support for games is not native to the console, it needs to be included by the specific games developer. Considering the extra effort required, I think that most 360 dev's will stick to their primarily controller loving fanbase (peeps who love ramming the Xbox controller up their ass while firing the Warthog's minigun). Until Microsoft realises that a controller is not the most efficient control method, they can go and fuck themselves wads of your money for all I care.

As for Live, if I wanted to pay to be insulted with large font, a crappy interface and a community made up of people too normal and friendly to be a part of any real online comm, I'd go down to the local Mormon libary and browse their selection of bibles in the 'Large Print' section.

The Xbox took Halo from the PC and made it shit, the 360 better not do the same with Oblivion and Fallout 3.

Eh? XBox halo preceded PC Halo by years.

Halo was in development for PC. But then development shifted to Xbox as an exclusive title for quite some time. Halo on PC was never shit. I didn't like it, because simply I was more a RPG and adventure buff at xbox launch. However, giving it another go recently it was amazing. Even as an RPG buff at that time, Halo can not be considered shit.
It was shit on the PC, however once it ported (as Bungie cared more about Halo 2 for the xbox.

Furthermore, don't like 'friendly' gamers who don't shout "N00b oGM !!! L33t! You sux0raz!! LOL LOL LOL" whilst they shoot you, then register a gamerag as 'underground'.

On the flipside, yes, the PC is a great gaming 'console'. However, I would need to spend way too much money to even get my PC on the same level as the 360. Also, I wouldn't have Xbox Live 360. I am so amazed at the live 360 service <3 best thing ever. I'm going to go jerk off now from pleasure explosion.

the ps3, I would say will be better than the xbox 360 but only aboy a year after launch. remember, it takes a while before developers start getting maximal utility from a console's hardware.

it seemed like all up you payed a shitload of money for the console, having it shipped, the games, the transformer etc.... basically it seems like i paid almost 1000 for it...

what iam wondering is what kind of money would i have to fork out when it comes to australia for the console, 2 controlers, and say 2 games?

$650 for the premium kit: includes wireless controller, hard drive
$60 (from memory) for a 2nd WIRED controller or $80 for wireless
$50 or something for play & charge kit for the wireless controller + battery
games will be pricey, so you'd want to get them from stores like dvdcrave.com.au, as the retail is up to $120 Dvdcrave sells all for under $100 though ) Great store, use them a lot.

90-120 for game.

Fight Night 3 demo is out Downloading it now. Will post first impressions. Many have been saying that this will be the first 'true' showing of next-gen games. Even though I think PGR3 is the first true showing (along with CoD2 for console gaming), oh and madden this game should surpass even those game's visual quality. TIme will tell. Download at 11%

im just amazed that theyre achieving this on two/3 cores and also so early in the development cycle. I can't begin to fathom what this year's Madden, NBA etc games will look like. Can't wait for ESPN NBa College Hoops 2k6 reviews, too If the graphics are the sex, and the gameplay unchanged, I will buy it.
