hey guys I have yr 10 yearly exams (5.2 & 5.3) on the following:

- Simplify, expand & factorise algebraic expressions: fractions, negative & fractional indicies. Quadratic equations.

- linear & simple quadratic equations, linear inequalities, simultaneous equations using graphical and analytical methods.

- interquartile range and standard deviation.

- formulae: surface area of right cylinders, volume of: pyramids, cones & spheres. Surface area and volume of composite solids.

- prove triangles are congruent or similar.

- midpoint, distance & gradient. Gradient/intercept form, graph straight lines.

- trigonometry, bearings.

- hyperbolas, parabolas

trigonometric relationships: sine rule, cosine rule & area rule.

- probability problems, compound events.

So i was wondering whether or not there are notes on the BOS resources for Year 10 topics or do any of you guys have any to share?

Thanks, any help's appreciated :)

Could be some in resources.... Have a look but they're usually for Prelim/HSC... Could be some in General Maths/ 2U Maths even...

Sorry, I don't have any notes as I didn't need to make any.... I just did past papers - they're the best thing for finding areas you're weak in (and strong in too!).... :)

Not necessarily. I have never written notes (apart from a page or two across the entire year) and have been fine. :)

Just do past papers and look at the solutions for 'notes'.

you need notes for everything.
Notes are not that important in year 10 in terms of maths (personally I didn't use any - though you might work differently and that is fine). What is of more benefit, would probably be to do past papers from your own and from other schools. Message me if you need any past papers!
