I'm pretty sure half of our grade SBHS/SGHS came to school the next day in their formal clothes. The guys still looked half decent, however, the girls looked totally trashed.

Most schools I know have a separate night for their Y12 Formal, where the kids go out and have fun, and the teachers come along if they can.

Then there's another day which is the Y12 Graduation (Assembly) where the whole school + parents/family attend, where you receive your final awards, graduation certificate, etc.

And wait, do you guys have it there every year? Our grade of Knox also had it there.

For Yr 10, nope. We had ours at Starroom, Darling Harbour, whereas they had their's at NIDA, Kensington. Yr 11, it's the same semi-formal, Yr 12, probably won't be.

But, even if the formals are separate, about 70% of those that come with partners get theirs from their sister/brother school (usually in the same grade too).

At my year 10 formal 2 peoples dates from out of school got in a fight. We were on a boat so couldnt make them leave, so some teachers had to watch them all night
