We haven't gotten out assessment schedules either. We've asked about it a few times, and apparently we'll be getting them soon... But they said that weeks ago -_-

It's March already! How are your subjects going guys? Any changed opinions?
English Advanced: 9/10
Teacher is awesome, makes it interesting. All we are doing is analysing poems at the moment. Usually hate doing this type of thing but i'm enjoying it for some reason.

Maths Extension: -12348455928435/10
i.hate.maths. I finally got to an extension exercise in the textbook and i couldn't even do the first question T_T

Mathematics:5/10
It's ok. It's still confusing at times but meh. Teacher is nice.

Chemistry: 7.5/10
I used to really like the chem topics in my junior years but I have this love-hate relationship with it now. It's just not as interesting/fun as I imagined it to be :/ :(

Biology: 5/10
teacher.pisses.me.off. She jumps from one idea to another and we all get extremely confused. She teaches too fast and we tell her to slow down but she doesn't. She is just eufhdjnijwdnaskcjnsdvafdjn and i am usually totally lost in bio and don't know what we are doing half the time. I have to refrain from killing the teacher and the people around me.

Modern History: 9/10
I love history so much and its awesome. The content is interesting, but we've been doing a lot of group work this these past few weeks so we haven't been doing much normal learning. Its more like get in groups and figure out what this source is. Also we are doing a group project at the moment. Once this is over though, I'm sure it will get back to normal again.

Multimedia: 10/10
MY FAVOURITE SUBJECT!!!! I'm so glad I dropped Engineering Studies and picked this up instead!!!! The work is fun (even though it's a bit stressful at times) and it's something I'm actually interested in. one of the only classes I actually look forward to going to.

Can't be ruse coz you're only doing 2U maths.

#sorrybutnotsorry

Hmm.. A lot of schools offer agriculture despite not being agricultural, like Cherrybrook Tech etc.

Piano is the only fun part of my day
I always find it cruelly ironic that when I was little, I had all the time in the world but an intense loathing for violin, but now that I'm older, I'm able to appreciate it a lot more, but I barely have any time to do so.

Biggest regret in life so far is not treating my music education more seriously...

Don't worry, you can still amend yourself!

Advanced English - 8/10
I'm enjoying the area of study and the prescribed novel, and I think I'm fairly decent at writing essays so naturally English is enjoyable for me.

Ancient History - 7/10
It's interesting but I'm not understanding the content as much as I thought I would. I think I'm finding it difficult to understand or explain perspectives...

Biology 5/10
A Local Ecosystem was one of the worst topics I've ever had to sit through. It was an awful introduction to the course. Hopefully the next topic is more interesting.

IPT - 6/10
I'm having a bit of a problem grasping all of the content and definitions, but I'm sure if I revise I'll learn.

Society & Culture 8/10
The class discussions in this course have been awesome. While some of them are rather irrelevant to the information we need to absorb I've enjoyed listening to opposing beliefs and seeing how they battle out.

SOR II 8/10
This is the only course I'm continuously getting goods mark in; it's sad really. I have no intentions of joining the priesthood. :mad2:

Adv English 9/10
Actually pretty good. Good teacher. Interesting Text. I'm just waiting for things to take a turn for the worse :p

G Maths 9/10
Good teacher. Not too difficult. Although I am a bit worried how everyone else in the class can wiz through the questions :/

SOR II 6/10
It's alright I guess. Might consider SOR I in year 12.

Biology 7/10
Content is very dry so far. Hoping for some more interesting stuff.

Business Studies 5/10
Dat annoying class :(

Legal Studies 9.5/10
I find it interesting, and I am benefiting from having a strong background knowledge of the subject :)

Dw, you'll get used to it.. It'll be more in year12 but a few hours a day if study will be manageable and balance with your social life , sports/hobbies and gaming etc. And economics can be quite confusing but reading in depth and trying to understand the concepts and think about it in real life economic situations in like finance news will help.

Also, anohana , you're username is damn awesome.. Because anohana is one my favorite anime.. It's so sad, and I really like one of their songs.. The scene where Menma reveals herself to the group ... Ohmygawdd demf33ls

Advanced English: 7/10
Teacher is quite lazy - we spent a week listening to an audio book for our Shakespeare play. He actually doesn't teach so it's a bit worrying.

Extension Maths: 9/10
The work is quite easy but the teacher we have is iffy; she doesn't know how to teach but at least we get through content, even though she overcomplicates things. Workload is a bit excessive

Chemistry: 10/10
The teacher I have is great! She explains concepts pretty well so class is pretty enjoyable.

Physics: 8/10
Thought I knew my stuff until we did some questions

Economics: 9/10
Concepts are a bit hard to grasp but once you understand them it clicks a lot better. It's a bit difficult to 'see' the overall picture when you've only done a topic, though.

Computing Applications: 7/10
Quite bland but it is my bludge 1 unit subject. I sometimes use it to do other subjects and mess around and the teacher doesn't really mind.

How do you guys study for your sciences?? I'm doing Chem and find that I can't study efficiently for it.......... like in maths you do a billion practice questions, in english memorise main points for essays etc.

Teacher is awesome!! My first assessment task is a collage so yeah pretty sweet for far !!

Chemistry:8/10
My teacher is a fuckin legend but there's so much content, but most of it is pretty interesting :)

Maths ext: 5/10
The teacher is so crap, she over complicates things, like we had this sub teacher for a lesson and suddenly Maths ext was the easiest subject in the world, and then our teacher came back.......... back to shitty explanations and redoing the same examples as the textbooks.

English ext: 8/10
The teacher doesn't show up to half the classes so they get cancelled, but the stuff we are learning is pretty interesting(Gothic Literature).

Legal Studies: 8/10
I love it but every god damn lesson the teacher just gives us a bunch of review questions :/

Hey guys
How are you all finding advanced maths? I did 5.3 in year 10 and it's okay so far but everyone I know is dropping down to general and it's sort of scaring me. Any advice ?

Don't be scared,as long as you are willing to try hard you'll be fine! A lot of people at my school are dropping down as well because they can't handle it. Maths is one of those subjects where you just have to study (not cram) for your tests, and studying will be made much easier if you complete your homework on time. Have you had your first assessment yet?
