Hi,

Just curious, has anyone here managed to DL 200kg with at a weight < 70Kg. If so, could you post your routine or give any sort of advice regarding how you got there?

Cheers,
Daniel.

Your backs meant to have straightened before your legs do, fairly sure he's doing it wrong. Easier with a trap bar though.

And im fairly sure nobody under 70kg will lift 200kg, no matter how many muscle groups they use.

309Kg at 60kg has been done on the deadlift (the guy had gorilla arms tho).

Just looking for some people who have done it and can give some actual advice. Its actually quite difficult to come across elite performers in the gym.

Remember you can use straps if your grip is giving out before your muscles do.

Farmers walks, shrugs, static holds, deadlifts from a platform there are a lot of tools/exercises you can use to help increase your numbers. The most effective will always be consistency, effort, adequate rest and nutrition.

I dead lift sometimes before i work out.
Its pretty important, as it works alot of muscles.

My DL/DL Assistance training:

Mon (ME Deadlift: Week 1):

Deadlift: Warmup, Working set of 5 reps, Singles/Singles (Belt)
Shrugs: 3x8
Defecit Deadlifts: 3x5
+ Some lighter back workouts

Mon (Deadlift Assistance: Week 2):

Good Mornings, Working up to 1x5
Concentric Good Mornings: 2x8
+ Some lighter back workouts

I have bench/squat on other days. Any advice welcome.

It can be dangerous, you can herniate/slip a disc. Make sure as with everything to start slow and easy, get technique down and then build your way up.

It's safe as long as your form is solid and you stay within your limits.

A noob attempting to DL 400Lbs is just asking for trouble.

no but your back should be straight for the whole movement, like in the exrx animation.
