First, let me be clear that I have no personal interest in you remaining a Catholic. These attention-seeking challenges dont fire me with anything, k bro? Also if you knew the faith that you claim to be a member of, you'd know that reconciliation is a big part of it and is sourced from Christ's own words to His disciples. Further to that, the Church is the body of Christ on earth. There is no conflict.

I dont feel like addressing your point on 'capitalism' beyond referring you to the commandment to not steal. This presupposes private property.
Really Iron you cannot hope to go throw dust in our eyes by merely reciting biblical poetry. The church is shaped by what well meaning men (and not women which you may care to explain) hope and suspect to be closest to what Christ had envisioned for it. After the Pope himself has said that we are all morally disordered we are to trust that we have tumbled sidewards into it and ended up with the right policy by fluke?

We have no idea of what the deepest depths of christ contain. By all means Rome should have its view but the views bar the most fundamental are weak, changeable, guess work. It is pretty damn clear that we're supposed love , forgive and believe but beyond that we really we are guessing. Rome has some wonderful, glorious ideas and i fear time will show it also has some things completely wrong. "Catholics catholics ring the bell, protestants protestants go to hell" Another flawness era of the catholic church?

Before the church interfered: Problem getting better.
After church interfered: Problem getting worse.
Before scientology came to prominence HIV was hardly an issue. Since L Ron Hubbard got the ball rolling it has become a crisis. Therefore scientology is the cause of HIV.

Yes but that's a descriptive claim, ie 'Jesus and his followers shared everything', not a normative claim, which would be 'you should share everything like Jesus did.'
Thing is catholics or atleast the ones I know, I can't speak for Iron believe they are Jesus' followers. As such its kind of a given we try and make choices as Jesus would have done.

tbh, I dont think the church should be blamed for the current HIV/AIDS issue in Africa.
I totally agree, but that doesn't mean they can't be given partial blame for its magnitude. I'm not arguing the specific degrees, for all I know it could be 0.0001% their fault. That nevertheless means x more people are getting HIV, y more lives are being lost, etc etc.

Come on Pwar. That was a sub-par argument from you.
We both know that both the stated and subliminal goal of practically all Christians is to emulate Christ in as many ways as possible. This of course means that they pay just as much attention to the indirectly stated theology as they do to the explicitly stated.

That's fucking ridiculous and you know it.

See how I said interfered ie. actually had something to do with the whole contraception issue.

No mate I'll tell you what is ridiculous. That an institution is hled responsible for the effects of people acting contary to what the institutions leadership has recomended.

Protestan FTW! Althought that debate is pretty redudant and inconceivable in this modern world of prosperity and peace, respect and love for our brothers, whatever the denominatiom one may belong to. For we are one in Christ.

Just because Lentern has a point dosent mean you should dislike him. Do not falter to his decieving and devious toungue Iron! He is merely trying to break up our brotherhood built up on love and Christ, by instilling proudness amongst ourselves. We must work together to convert SylvesterBr!

Well, we will see at the end times! Otherwise its all but a hypothesis that corrupt the foundations of the one TRUE CHURCH, that is Christ Himself.

You've got to work on your comebacks. And your arrogance.

Opposite for me. At least Lentern presents clear, logical arguments. Iron just sits there and says "I am better than all of you. Bow before me or burn"

EDIT: I think I'll burn, thank you very much.

You shall see
And you shall not, as there is nothing to see.
