Are there English Advanced students who do not enjoy English? (1 Viewer)

So i was wandering, are there English Advanced students who do not enjoy English or is it just me? i'm an English Advanced student and tbh, i do not enjoy english >.<
Is there anyone else out there?

For people wandering why i'm not doing English standard instead, it's because my teacher believes that i am an Englished Advanced student. So, i decided to try it out for my prelim and decide whether to stay or move to standard at the end of the year.

thus far, i'm coming 1st in the subject and i detest it, its child abuse.

+ i would suggest checking out the texts you would be doing in standard compared to advanced, and choose which level you do based on those texts

yeh i'm coming something like 4th in adv atm and hate it to pieces - it's just not interesting..

honestly, the extension 1 course is far superior (and easier) than the advanced course. i think the extension 1 course should be the general course for all english students.

I do 4-unit, and I love extension 2, hate extension 1, and DESPISE advanced english. though it has its moments where I love the class.

tbh I don't mind eng advanced...If you do independent research it gets interesting, though I might just like it cos I'm good at it. Am I alone?

I think..it really depends on your teacher and the texts you do.

Love sitting in class discussion in Eng Adv, listening to the teacher, its my favourite in class class. HATE DOING ENGLISH ADV HOMEWORK/STUDY, I would take 5 chapters of maths or chem over english any day. But the actual in class classes are boring. Heh, that probably makes no sense :s

I love sitting in english class because it's fun... I detest every other aspect of it (especially assignments) though.

i agree
