Cadel is finished, even he has now admitted it. Very disappointing.

I reckon he has a chance for next year with a new team (and if he has no serious injuries).

what about Jens Voigt, apparently the guy driving the motor bike that almost ran him over thought he was dead, thankfully he was only unconscious with a broken cheekbone!

bad luck cadel, really unlucky.

astarloza was pretty good tho

Looks like someone's going after the Saxobank team. First Aversen and now Voigt!

by the sounds of what cadels been saying theres some medical reason behind his below standard performance this year.

i really don't see anyone beating contador, the real race is for second?

Cadel is blaming a "professional reason", which basically means the team isn't up to scratch, Van den Bruk is working for himself and cadel is too old!

it killed me too see how well popovich was riding this year
cadel does need a new team...

'Obviously, I am not at my normal level, I have to see a Doctor now to see what the problem is. Of course I'm personally very disappointed; I -as usual- had very high expectations for this Tour de France, along with many other supporters, team mates, friends etc. I have not been able to deliver this year, now I have to go and find out
why....'

from his website.

Just a shit team.

I don't think I have seen Silence Lotto riding at the front of the peloton to aid in the pace making or to help Cadel once this tour.

i was really optimistic about cadels chances after watching the dauphine.
who would take him on as a team leader though?

Jurgen Van Den Broeck no doubt.

contador has to be on drugs...
Contador is crazy. To win a mountain stage and then defeat Chancellera in a time trial is absolutely astounding. Can't believe it.

i'm still astounded, if he keeps up this form he'll be unbeatable for the next few years.
i'd rather him than lance though...

:S

I'd prefer Lance over Contador any day of the week. An inspirational story for others to follow as well as there being a good cause behind him.

Ditto.

He's getting a new team next year anyways, and there's reports that Cadel might be joining him?

i can't stand lance. theres something about him. he always comes off arrogant and snide.
i'm pretty sure cadel has another year left of his contract, so he might not be going anywhere for atleast 12 months.
