Even if it is a choice, why should it matter? You choose to be a Christian. I'm assuming, Iron? (Or even if you feel that it wasn't a choice and you were always going to be a Christian), you live in a society which allows you to practice your religion as you choose. Choice is an important part of a free, democratic society.

Even just on the BoS website I have noticed a particularly large group of people who are starkly opposed to Christianity. Freedom to practice Christianity is something that I feel is threatened.
You're right, in a way. So called 'liberals', as I've said before, can be just as bigoted and narrow minded as those they call 'conservatives'.

Oh please, the bible wasnt even written by god, jesus or even the saints. They were written by a bunch of high status christains and guess what? MY RELIGION TEACHER TOLD ME THAT.

anyway i think if you even mix god with anything to do with science you are just mixing 2 totally incompatable things together.

religion teaches us that everything can be explained by something that most likely dosent exist, so if your trying to talk about something academically then you probably shouldnt bring god into it.

As a gay teen I dont really think its too important to know wether or not me being gay is a abnormality or wether it has something to do with how I was brought up but honestly its just a sexual orientation, it dosent really effect anyone except me and the people i have sex with.
honestly, the only reason why i even came out was so my family wouldnt be shocked when i bought a boy home.
and for those of you that say "You all like to go shopping and you are always talking about fashion", well i think your EXTREMELY stupid, can we help that we like looking good? is it so bad to be cultured and to enjoy feeling good?

I think alot of people are scared of the world changing, we are seeing the same social effects of the split between the north and the south in america when african-american rights were on the agenda...but thankfully no cop beatings.

I really hope one day people begin to snap out of this whole religion thing...yes it tells you how to live a good life BUT SERIOUSLY thats what we have laws for...they are practically the same thing. If you follow a bible then you are just blinding yourself with false hope and faith and most of you that do believe in it ... dont actually do what it says.

"Love thy neighbour as I have loved you"

STRAIGHT FROM JESUS'S MOUTH...if there was ever a blurb for the bible then thats what it would be...and most of you cant even get that right.

Christ Jesus also healed the hoar who believed in Him so much that she crawled thru a crowd and touched His feet to be healed. Verily, she was healed, but he departed her with the important words

im not going to give you my doctors name you idiot
but its well known

the anus isnt as well protected as the pen0r and vag
Im sorry but you are very very stupid.
HIV and AIDS can be transmitted by blood contact..it can have nothing to do with a penis, vagina or anus.
There are apparently more straight people in Australia that have HIV than gay people, and as a youth health worker I have noticed that most straight people have ZERO idea of how to properly use a condom.

your stupidity amazes me...its probably a good thing you live in Israel...do us all a favor and stay there =D

I agree. It's just another fear of difference thing. Good quote from Tony Blair:

People are entitled to think that homosexuality is wrong, but they are not entitled to use the criminal law to force that view upon others... A society that has learned, over time, racial and sexual equality can surely come to terms with equality of sexuality.

This has absolutely nothing to do with anything?
Jesus came to revolutionize the Jewish people because god didnt believe they were believing in the correct stuff. so if you still believe in the old testament then you are really stupid (or just dont realize you are jewish), and as far as im aware...Jesus never said "I dont like it when 2 dudes kiss or touch willies or nuthin".

but he did seem to know how to spend a hell of alot of time with a whole bunch of guys...heck he even through them a hell sweet dinner party (free wine and bread)

*sigh* If only there were more men like him :)

Thou Shalt Love Thy Neighbor as Thyself, realistic expectations please.

My disapproval of homosexuality really does not stemm from the definitive sexual act that makes a person a homosexual. Rather it's that I cannot untie the link between homosexuality and the lewd sexual displays of the Marti Gras or better yet, "it dosent really effect anyone except me and the people i have sex with". Prove me wrong people.

You quoted Our Lord in order to justify your homosexual lifestyle. That was wrong of you.

As to your other inspired words about Him, I offer you a furious wagnerian opera, witha background of fire and perhaps much screaming

I feel there is a worse alternative than that, consciousness within nothingness.

I agree that there are valuable lessons to be learn from the bible, but they are hidden under all this other mumbo jumbo that some people are willing to believe anything that comes out of the bible. I'm lucky to be brought up in such a diverse family that has desensitised me from discrimination. I beleive no one should force their beliefs on someone else, nor abuse them in any way because of thier beliefs.

Though, cant you see why some homsexual people would be angry against the churches? I dont condone it, but if some understanding could be shown from either side i think aust. would be a better place. It is sad that there is discrimination on both sides, because we are getting no where. I think EVERYONE should realise thats sexuality is not a big deal.

As for mardi gras, who cares. Everyone has a good time, nobody is getting hurt, does anyone wish that they didnt have a good time?

I wish that the earth would open up and swallow yall whole.

We dont accept homosexual acts because of explicit and consistent biblical prohibitions, as well as our satisfaction that they are against Our Lord's intended order of procreation and love which glorifies Him above all else. It is a big deal.

Having said that, youre quite right to say that we have no right to 'impose' this on non-believers; more importantly, we dont have the will to do this (also, we dont have the power). However what we do have is an obligation to spread the Word and make sure that people are at least made aware of our position, in the hope that they may connect with its inherent Truth and goodness and beauty!

That is just the thing though, who are you to 'accept' or 'not accept'.

That is an interpretation (but i wont get into interpretations too much), and its fine if you as in individual follow that part of the bible (as in dont practice those acts), but who is anyone to say to others, "stop what your are doing, because we think it is wrong". Also, isnt it up to your God to decide who does and doesnt go to heaven? It has nothing to do with those on earth then. I'm speaking in a general term to those who use the excuse that the bible doesnt agree with it, because most do 'try' and force their beliefs on others.
