Do you really think the gay community is out to get Christians, Iron?
I actually agree with you. Just because someone states that they're homophobic doesn't automatically mean they're a horrible person, and to think that is to be just as narrow-minded as homophobes are accused of being.I think that Homophobia is the least understood of all phobias. You know, if a friend of yours says "you know, i'm a claustrophobic.", your response isn't:
"Oh you narrow-minded bigot! Clearly you haven't spent enough time in dark, enclosed spaces! Maybe you should meet Mr. Coloured! I'm not your friend any more you bigot!"
A homophobe could be genuinely afraid of homosexuals. A homosexual man might have fell on him as a child, or leapt out of a closet and frightened him...
Snow Fox to Spyro: They do nothing to negatively impact your life. You get over it.I realise that one can still disapprove/disagree with something without being a dickhead about it.
He became obsessed with the Joker from the Dark Knight, that obsession has kinda worn off but the smile thing remains.Lol @ your sig. btw.
Of course! If youre not with us, youre against us i'm afraid...Do you really think the gay community is out to get Christians, Iron?
A homosexual Christian must feel as though he or she is an abomination, or is somehow able to convince his or herself that the bible doesn't have all the answers, just most of them.I know homosexual Christians.
The weight of the world on the Christian's shoulders.Of course! If youre not with us, youre against us i'm afraid...
No you dont
Well we are finally back to the original topic of whether or not people really are born gay or choose to be gay. Skeptically I have to say that they are born gay since a lot of the people who are homosexual seem to show the signs at a very young age.Yes, I do.
The bible says that God will not judge you for your sins beyond temptation.
i.e. if you can't help it - he won't judge you. People don't choose to be gay, they just are.
Ah. I remember that bit now that you mention it. Lol. Good movie. He became obsessed with the Joker from the Dark Knight, that obsession has kinda worn off but the smile thing remains.
Well I don't know any gay Christians personally, but I know of some. I also know many people who consider themselves Christians and are okay with homosexuality. And you're right. They don't believe that the Bible contains all the answers, in fact, they just see it as a guide on how to live, not as infallible.A homosexual Christian must feel as though he or she is an abomination, or is somehow able to convince his or herself that the bible doesn't have all the answers, just most of them.
Doesn't bother me whether or not people consider the Bible to be infallible, the fact remains that there are lessons within it that we could all learn from.Well I don't know any gay Christians personally, but I know of some. Even if it is a choice, why should it matter? You choose to be a Christian. I'm assuming, Iron? (Or even if you feel that it wasn't a choice and you were always going to be a Christian), you live in a society which allows you to practice your religion as you choose. Choice is an important part of a free, democratic society.i choose to be king of england, imo
I couldn't agree more. The fact remains that there are lessons within it that we could all learn from.
Even just on the BoS website I have noticed a particularly large group of people who are starkly opposed to Christianity. Freedom to practice Christianity is something that I feel is threatened.Even if it is a choice, why should it matter? You choose to be a Christian. I'm assuming, Iron?
