2 days to go :D Til all the chaos, drama and fun :D

I think I'm the only one looking forward to it o_O :p Forget the fact that you can't move in our store room, the forklift had to be parked outside in the carpark over night, and with 25 more pallets coming in today. We are seriously going to have pallets of stock sitting in the carpark, because we have no room o_O
Perishables managed to get the pallet jack stuck in freezer again yesterday. We spent a good 45 mins trying to get it out. And they still have 4 full pallets of cream in their stockroom and the SM is freaking out lol. Yet another 5000+ load last night. Our dock is pretty much permanently packed, you get stock out and it looks like you have made no progress lol.

So I have 10 hour shifts the next three days and I haven't even started Christmas shopping yet. So that is another level of chaos to contend with!

WoWPOS needs to be updated to fix ID checking. Sometimes I just automatically hit "accept" because I'm use to it when in smoke shop. After voiding that item, if you scan it again, the ID box won't pop up. That should be fixed, as there are no other cigarette items on the screen that will be sold, so it should really ask again incase an operator does accidently press ok by mistake.

Hmm I'm still thinking it might be a good option until we sort out the PC accounts though. Also no one takes up EDR and EDM in Tas anyway, have never registered one in my life and I've only seen like three customers with them, one a staff member.[/quote\]]]

EDR isn't available in Tassie AFAIK, I know my nan came down from the mainland and couldn't use her EDR card

NO! That would be SO annoying. If they are born today's date or prior in 1991 they can buy cigarettes. In 2010, it will be 1992. Easy. I don't even bother typing the DOB, if I see 1992 I go "lol, nice try loser."

edit: i misread that, thought you meant it should ask for every item you scan... :| if you void the item, then put the transaction through as $0 cash, you can start a new transaction - otherwise the only way they would be able to "fix" that is by making every item ask for age verification...

I was actually thinking of getting a transfer to your store early this year.. but my other plans of living/learning down there failed...

Our reg 1 blew up today. As in smoke and everything. Not good, and apparently we can't get an electrician or anything until wednesday.
Our Reg 1 started smoking and everything... not sure what's gonna happen. seems like the belt folded on itsself, and is stuck.

Hey guys I'm going to be buying a new shirt. What "tips" would you give for those who already have purchased one. Stuff like which design (spot or plain), how should I compare my old shirt size to the new one etc. (Btw, I'm a guy for those who are commenting on which size to get).

Wow k, you really are better off not transferring to Bankstown :p Love the staff.... but the customers are so much worse than at the average Woolies. Seriously.

Zomg lucky.
NOT looking forward to my 3 am start (has been pushed back to possibly 2 or 2.30 *sad panda*)
TBH, I'm actually a bit offended. I know that sounds pathetically stupid, but seriously, don't they realise that I'm such an awesome person to have around ;)

My SSM rang me TWICE yesterday offering me liquor shifts though, except he seems to forget every time he asks me to do something in there that I never went to the RSA course (they booked me in on the week where we only had four supervisors available for the whole week, so there was no way that the dept was going to release me).
I would have had awesome hours if I could have taken those shifts though :(

I was going to wear a Santa's hat but not while working in a Fresh Food department.

Probably just wear a Reindeer hat or something.
I might... I'll pin it to my cap :p

Ohhh ok. :( sad panda, I actually kinda want to now, but I have to head up to my dad's for that afternoon/night/Xmas day (Newcastle). :(

YouTube - You're the top - Ella Fitzgerald
but there is another song that is about 30bpm and makes me SO angry when I hear it lol

haha yeah I know that one. Not looking forward to supervision tomorrow. Will have every register open for about 4 hours from 10am! Then on xmas ever everyone open by 9am till 7pm. Atleast we dont have to worry about spot checks till the arfternoon.
