I just thought if a 20 year old friend told me that he/she was going out with a 33 year old, I would be like: "Er.....yeah". I'm not quite sure what being a virgin (or not) has to do with that.

Maybe it's just me.

hmm i think it depends.. im 16 now but when im 20, it'll be different.. cos atm, as im 16 i wouldnt date anyone more than 2 years older.. but when im 20 i would probably date someone up to 5 years older etc. . or if i found someone who i reaaaally loved then who knows . age is only a number after all . however, in my grade there's a few 17 year old girls that are going out with 23/24 year old men, which i find freaky .

ive discovered age doesnt matter. it really is just a number. and we all seem to judge harshly on this.

i know for a fact when i think of someone whos 2 years younger than me (im 18) i think omg... they must be so immature and childish and they look it too!

i have just been proven wrong. talked to a guy for a good 7 months thinking "oh yeah hes only 5 months younger than me. thats nothing". and then i realise he was telling the truth when he told me he was actually 16. *poof* add a year onto that 5 months.

i thought iit would change my perception about him DRASTICALLY. okay, so it did for the first day. now, it doesnt matter anymore. coz i ddnt fall for how old he was. i fell for who he is and i refuse not to like him because of his age.

in like 2 years time it will be "socially acceptable" to date him. and people around me wont judge me so harshly. (im thinking...hoping...)

but yeah. age is just a number. its possible to like someone older or younger than yourself. you just got to let yourself believe that age is not a deal breaker.

Dating a 26 year old would be pushing it, tbh. I don't know why but I do get weirded out by age gaps that are bigger than a few years

I wouldn't rule out dating someone younger than me but I think 2 years younger would be the absolute maximum gap I could put up with without feeling like some kind of pedo (at this stage of my life anyway)

i'm currently dating a 17 year old (i'm 23). Idk, people give me strange looks when i tell them, but it hasnt really caused an issue yet, although we are quite newly buddied up. We laugh about it, how i'm a sugar daddy etc. The only time it slightly bothers me (sorry jacob sweetie if your reading) is when i bring up a cultural reference to something that he just totally doesnt get (like he's never seen Con Air, but like EVERYBODY my age has)
