Omie, have you heard Dark Tranquility's newest 'We Are The Void'? I haven't gotten around to listening to it yet; curious to hear your thoughts if you have. Apparently it's been getting decent reviews.

personally i didnt like this album. i had big expectations since character and fiction were so awesome (character = my favourite dt album), and damage done was good too, but i found void boring.

also DT recorded a new song during their time touring the EU with insomnium (probably same time insomnium recorded their new song with stanne's guest vocals), called Out of Gravity, which is available somewhere on the net for free download, probably DT's website, and this song is not bad.

We Are the Void wasn't DT's best album, wasn't terrible but wasn't brilliant. It had a couple of gems, like Her Silent Language and Shadow In Our Blood but overall it was an alright album.

Wouldn't be first on my list for reasons to move to Europe, but I agree with the sentiment.

Considering I'm doing a degree in Creative Arts, and Germany is currently the Theatre leaders of the world, I'd say that's probably pretty high on my list. The Quality of Life is Scandavia is a decent drawcard as well. Of course, if your living there, I'm sure it'd be quite easy to slip in a few metal gigs as well. :)

Good cover. Band is overrated IMO. Never got into their sound.

personally i'm not THAT into them, but whenever a new album of theirs comes out, im fully into them for about a few weeks to a month, then i go back to listening to whatever, and listening to AA occasionally, lol.

also i've always been a massive fan of their album covers =D

i'm really keen on insomniums new album though!

"Familiar Insomnium traits are there of course but there is also something we haven’t done before. Fear not, it’s not acid jazz or techno, but something utterly sad, gloomy and depressing. Just the way we like it."

also really lookingn forward to seeing a new album cover, hopefully it's not boringly black/grey/white like the previous one (which matched the albums sorta boring songs).
