do you try and memorise everything word by word from your notes? because when it comes to study i seem to do that, i know its not very affective but is their an easier way to understand the concepts and all that? Because sometimes I feel clueless on how i should study and do revision etc somebody please give me some advice :)

thanks :)

Memorise, sometimes word for word, like english etc... but eco/business it's memorising the whole concept idea with the "technical terms" etc...

It's vital that you understand the concepts behind everything you learn. Therefore you wont be stumped when a question tests your understanding. This applies for all subjects.

That seems true. As long as you don't apply it to HSC english.

You must spread some Reputation around before giving it to Absolutezero again.
:(

Also, I just try and learn everything, so when the test comes around it's all stored up there for me to produce an answer. The only thing I have trouble with is expressing the information on paper, which is why you should always practice writing answers too.

English - Memorise quotes and deconstruct them according to the question during the exam. lulz.
Maffs - Do the practice paper miss gives us and go in hoping for the best. :p

Craming isnt good especially if it means you're going to forget everything straight after the exam. The study becomes inefficient and does more harm in the long term.

Not really, most subjects you can get through just by knowing it, dont really have to understand it, unless it's subjects like economics or w/e

Same applies for accounting in uni, just know it, dont bother understanding the useless crap, it's pointless.

Cramming is never good, but that alone never stops people from doing it.

i would try this approach make everything you need into a speech form, and then keep reading it alot for hours and you will remember it easier thats my method. this is also i good cramming method for me but you have to do it for about 8 hours at least a day.
