What is the best font style for assignments.

I see really nice ones which look like unversity standard but cannot find them.

Times New Roman is pretty much standard. You'll often be indicated to use this font in university.

As a teacher I always tell my students that the font needs to be clear and easy to read and that Times New Roman does that job perfectly - at size 12. That is the easiest to read font.

I don't mind Arial fonts but do recommend against using the running writing fonts unless you also check the font size and have someone else read it.

yeah, though it depends in the workplace, what your company sets as the standard.

It is.
Calibri (body) or Times New Roman at size 12, with 1.15-1.25 spacing and paragraphing of 6 before and 6 after should be fine.
Calibri is used because it is an easier font for reading online. Times New Roman is easier to read printed.
