Does chemistry get better in year 12? (1 Viewer)

I really want to keep it, but I didn't exactly love the year 11 course. Please tell me it gets better

It does indeed get more interesting. Much more fulfilling and detailed, and more technical (Obviously).

Yeah, it does. Hated Year 11 Chemistry. Loved HSC Chemistry.

Physics, on the other hand, went from bad, to worse (for me, at least).

Really, physics got worse? I was expecting/hoping it would get lot better, the only prelim topic I liked was the cosmic engine.

Yes! HSC chem much better. Same goes for Bio.

If you liked cosmic engine then you'll like astro if you do it as an option.

tbh i enjoyed the year 12 phys course more than year 11. either way the problem with either is that they're too general to be considered true physics.

I hated Cosmic Engine. That's what made Yr 11 Physics bad for me. And Yr 12 Physics I hated because it was my worst subject. LOL.

Year 11 Chemistry was pretty simple IMO. I think it compares pretty close with Year 10 Science...I'm not sure about Year 12 though. Physics wasn't too hard in Year 11 but the Year 12 one gets really hard... T.T

Ye it kinda gets better, as mentioned, gets more technical, more calculations. However, there is also a lot more jibberish like why was haber process important at that time, why is ethene good etc. i loved industrial chem for some reason.

Chem and phys both get better. Who wants to learn about 'electricity in the home' what BS is that?
