@ Pfortune35 : 'sif you haven't heard of Malek Fahd Islamic School. Apparently their principal is really hardcore about their rank. I don't know if this is true or not, but I heard that if the Year 11 Bio accelerants don't get a Band 6, they can't do 4u in Year 12. Don't judge me.

If that is true, that's harsh :\

At my school, you want to do a subject, you're in. (Comprehensive public if you're wondering).
This year:
MX2: 0 EE2:5
What about drop-kicks?

Also, it's quite weird seeing more people doing EX2 than MX2 in other schools. Thought MX2 would dominate everywhere. Shows my narrow-mindedness.

To Bored_Of_Studies,

Haha, I don't think a "drop kick" has ever tried to do a 4U. Although if you're wondering for other subjects, yeah they let them do any subject even if they're not up to it and somewhat disruptive, although thankfully, they tend to drop after prelim. (Drop sciences and histories like they're hot cakes!)

ANd yeah, it's always been way more doing EE2 than MX2. I find it surprising in my cohort, they aren't more doing both. But yeah the EE2 class can hit 12, yet I don't think more than 3 people have done MX2 at the same time. I believe it is an anomaly in my year that the EE1 and Mx1 classes are similar size. Normally Ex1 is much bigger.

On the whole though I think my school is more humanities geared. We have three advanced english classes(whereas there will be only one mathematics class from next year lol, 5 general, 1 applied), two large classes of each history, large legal class, two large business, medium SAC, medium OFFLINE geo (yep people actually do it offline)...only one that is small is Economics. Compare this to the rather small maths classes, the very small physics class, the almost halving chem population from prelims...only big science is bio with three classes although many dropped to SNS out of them.

Lol who's dat? Or is this a general announcement to everyone on BOS? :p

I guess it depends a lot on the 'demographics' of the school. (racially)

MX2: 6

My school's highest amount of MX2 students in it's history, based on my maths coordinator.

It is history? That band 6 in standard might be a bit out of reach.

At the risk of sounding like a douche, (or is it too late for that already? :p)

i'd say that's generally what i'm implying. That doesn't mean you can't have people from either race owning different subjects. But yes.
All stereotypes are formed on the basis of some truth imo.
