Just curious as to the number of 4 unit students at various schools out there and how competitive it is to get in these classes?
we have 2 students doing MX2 and 4 doing EE2.

120 MX2 (to start off with) and 10ish EE2.
EE2 isn't that competitive because not everyone wants to do it. You also need to be in the top 72 to be able to enrol. MX2, on the other hand, has heaps of people miss out (who didn't make top 120).

There's only 1 in MX2 at our school and maybe 5 or so people doing EE2...there's not much competition

MX2: ~30
EX2: lol 3

I think there's no such thing as 'competetiveness' in getting in. At my school if the teachers think you can do the course you're in. The size of my school allows for that. I think that this method is better than having set numbers.

Though if you met competetiveness as in 'standards', then ex2 is more competetive.

2011 Hsc: there was 8 mx2 and 3-6 ex2
2012 hsc there is 6 mx2 (likely to decrease) and about 12 ex2 to begin with but this will decrease to 5-10

So it goes up and down every year

When I did my HSC: 1 MX2, 5 EX2.
This year: 0 in either, I believe.

This is because your school is more concerned with how the school goes according to smh as opposed to kids actually wana do

+1. No one at our school is restricted from doing an extension 2 subject. If want to do it, your in. Our schools pretty small though so its not because of the size of our school.

Approximately 100 do MX2 at my school, not sure about EE2 though. We don't have restrictions, even if you came last in year 11, you are still able to do E2 subjects.

When I did the HSC this year, there were 12 MX2 and 8 EE2. It dropped down to 7 MX2 and 7 EE2. This year I believe that there is 8 MX2 but not sure about EE2.

MX2 there's 77 i think, although there's people that have been strongly suggested (read: forced) to drop after the first exam. Probably will end up at 50-something.
Not sure about EX2, but there's only one class so I'm guessing it'd be 20.

Link plz. And you'd think 120 is more than enough for 4U
yeh you got a point there maybe it is just a numbers thing but there are defenatly schools that don't let kids do subjects because they dont do well and it well make the school look bad and i think this is wrong, just my opinion

....Malek Fahd.
by the way who the fuck is this^
