Didn't think so haha. Pretty certain it's a screenshot from the World Cup video game.

Wat.
There was no need for all dat, shadowdude summed it up well.
All i said was he got knocked down so there was no possibility that the ref couldve given advantage since noone else on his team was anywhere near the ball and the italians took the ball straight after. And no the costa ricans didnt score off that, they scored off a cross on the next attack
Oh what.

Then you'd have to call that one up if no-one is near the ball (if it was a foul in the first place).

Refereeing in world cups is usually not as prestige as refereeing in ucl.

Its not exactly poorer than usual or anything, its just that different subsets of people are ref'ing so there's a wider variety.

Australia getting their ass handed to them

Is this the quality of football in the A-League as well?

A-league has pretty poor quality football relative to the european leagues

I think in this match spain were a bit more back in their element and the absence of cahill coupled with the aussie attack not really stepping up meant that we didnt pressure spain much at all

We did have a good half hour or so patch near the beginning of the match though

The A league has its moments... However, some of them are lacklustre... That's not to say it is shit... I watch it whenever it is on TV... It certainly beats AFL... :)

without Cahill, the Aussies attack sucked in this world cup. We'll never have beasts like Cahill, Aloisi, Kewell, Schwarzer, Neil etc together in a team again

Most of the favourites are pretty unconvincing atm (Germany, Brazil, Holland) Costa Rica is in hot form, Belgium are flying under the radar. Oh and Columbia, knew theyd do well, even without Falcao. Im tipping them to KO Brazil. France has been pretty impressive thus far too. This will be a tight Cup, anyone can win it
