I'm not denying that difficulty varies - TAFE cert II and PhD are education, much like NRL and weekend club football are still Rugby League. You are looking too much at the specifics.
You're fucked.

Clearly the education system failed you.

Also, for further info plz see my avatar.

It's all about scalability - the same principles that helped me in year 9 helped me in year 12 and then in uni. Sure, I had to adapt and adjust to changes, but it's the same general idea anyway (exams, study, managing time etc). Again, you're focusing on the specifics riproot.

The same principles that helped me in school do not help me now.

E.g. my teachers no longer spoon feed me
E.g. My classmates no longer have the people from their selective school to fall back on if they fail (which they do in HSC)
E.g. The learning is a lot more individual and I can't just do nothing and pull out a high mark in things ~~~

You're focusing too much on the fact that both uni and HS are described by the word "education"

See, I view those things as details. But I guess you have your perspective and I have mine. Either way, I still think Haya needs to focus on the errors he has made and not just forget about the whole thing entirely (the same goes for anyone else who didnt do as well as they could have).

You missed the point that enoilgam was trying to make.

He was just trying to warn Haya not to do the same in uni, and thus learn from his mistakes.

After all, this is what the thread was originally started for.

O ok, well my name is Alex Wojno, as most people on BoS already know anyway haha.

Only reason I did UMAT was because parents wanted me to do med for job stability, and UMAT seemed to be only way into it. Then I thought about things and realised Sydney is gross, and Melbourne's med school is better than Sydney's in world rankings, so why not go postgrad med at Melb. Which is what ive set out as the plan, undergrad science then med postgrad, assuming I fail at NIDA every single year LOL, hopefully can get in asap. Not like those ppl who audition six years in a row and get in seventh year :/

VCA eh... will check it out. I have zero dramatic training, only the improvisations I do on my own :p

dw riproot, I take all criticisms, truths and vociferations of my actions with humility, because I know ultimately they are a lesson to be learnt about how to improve myself.

Also, thankyou all for your positive wishes, I hope things turn out well.
Sorry to disappoint you but world rankings don't mean shit. Especially for medicine.

They only do if you are looking for a job overseas. In Australia, not much meaning really unless its rankings set by Australia instead.

Every time I read at Haya's original post, I laugh a little bit on the inside.
