as of last thursday we're still doing polynomials, up to the remainder theorem. It feels as if we're behind compared to others, but I'm not sure

sorry for late reply btw
It's okay, we've done Circle geometry and now we are quarter way to finishing Polynomials.

Just sparing a little secret, You don't really need to pass in order to make it to Year 12. If you're worried alot, Please don't, it's no use, Year 11 is the year to enjoy, because trust me, When you're in year 12, You're doomed.

In order to get into to Year 12, All you need is:

- Proper attendance
- Serious attempt in exams and preliminaries (Like don't do mcq and leave, Complete all possible questions, whether its random stuff or not)
- No N AWARD

And you're set.

No, I mean when you're preparing for the exam
what are you struggling with though

not enough practice essays? can't memorise your quotes well enough? don't know your texts holistically?

Aren't you the BOSer with like really bad internal marks right now? I feel like it should be encouraged that you try your best in Year 11, to flow into Year 12 with the knowledge you have gained from mistakes in Year 11

I'd say don't give it your all but also don't do nothing. Just find a balance because at the end of the day he is right and taking it easier in year 11 will eliminate unnecessary stress and you won't be burnt out for year 12. You should try in maths the most though since that builds upon preliminary content

Assignment marks become a factor for the calculation of your ATAR as soon as year 12 starts. If you want the best possible ATAR, be great at all of your subjects before year 12 starts. I see year 11 as the time to get ahead before your marks start counting, not a time to laze off while your marks don't count.
