The distribution is a bit skewed but most that I know were born in Australia and lived here.

The uni has all sorts of people from everywhere. However as I said the distribution is skewed.

Go have a look at the facebook page for UNSW and the UNSW [insert school/faculty here] page. They have some pics from open day and other stuff that gives you an idea.

But yeah, I mean Sydney has a lot of asian people so UNSW is going to have a lot. Add on UNSW being one of the top unis and having high ATAR requirements - you can expect a lot of asian people to go there, since it's already obvious they dominate selective schools.

But yeah, shouldn't be a deciding factor in what uni you go to what race people are lol. UNSW does look pretty multicultural, not just asians and whites.

You should be looking at the type of education each uni offers and its atmosphere / how you think you'll fit in. Didn't you go to the open days?

Expecting Open days to be representative of the actual uni is quite frivolous because they are really just advertising vehicles where the universities will just show off their strengths and hide their weaknesses. The best way to really understand a uni is to talk and read about people's actual experiences at the uni. A good example was the thread that basically slammed ANU's culture, that stuff you would never see at an ANU open day.
