Hello people ! Im doing edutest for Baulko n i struggle with Numerical reasoning the most so can yall give me tips, resources or names of some materials that u used that were very similar to the NV question style etc which will help me prepare for that section especially. Thank u !

y'all are extracurriculars rlly that important to transfer cus i have none except piano and no academic achievements either(i lowk mightve just read thru half of this thread) do you think i can make it into JR for yr9 if i just grind edutest practice papers all the time im actually kinda desperate to escape my current school

yes a lot of ppl get selected due to their extra curricular so grind as much as u can

oh alr thanks im just gonna study like mad and pray that i get in... i mean their ranking has dropped to 2nd for two years in a row now so hopefully theyre gonna be willing to accept kids that are more academically focused iykwim

nope but u can go to eduvision for edu and some people actually got transferred to JR n Bualko

maybe a smaller amount
most schools do 10-15 I'm pretty sure for year 11 but if they open it for all years they might give less spots aside from positions available due to students transferring to a different school

Yeah Idk I spoke to someone about it who went to the skl and they said lonly like 7-8 ppl transferred so my guess is they create like 5 spots for new ppl in year 11.

i go to hghs and its HAST EXAM, for year 8 entry MATHS will include graphs, tables, and just images including with the question. people say its 'scientific reasoning and maths' but dont expect stuff like chemistry and physics, its just maths with these scientific images yk. in order to ace well in hast u have to STAND OUT in writing, like stand out. you can NOT write the basic, to test yourself u have to ask urself firstly 'will other people write about this?' and if its simple and common RESTART youv have to fully stand out . for english u have to know how to analyse and identify and thoroughly understand all types of texts, including poems, short stories, long passages and etc.

does anyone know what interviews are like for selective schools? i'd like to know the type of questions asked and what is expected there

depends on what year, my hghs interview was easy it was just like what do u do outside of school, like do you do any extra curriculars, no big deal

hi all, ive heard many people say that you should try to stand out in the writing component of hast by integrating some comedic twists and such but could someone give me some confirmation on this please and also hast is 2 months is away what more extracurriculars should I do I already do geo comp, his comp, sci comp and maths comp and im in debating
