yeah apparently students cover yr 9 AND 10 maths all in yr 9, and start maths advanced in yr 10!
Whaaaaaat..
I saw a lot of Sydney tech year 9 papers and apart from trig I actually found them pretty easy.. does everyone study 5.3 math in stage 6?

wait which website did u use to get them?? also trig is pretty ez, i learnt it months ago at tuition, but did the papers say accelerated or just normal maths classes? btw i found a few papers from like 2013, and id say theyre reasonable, not too hard but def requires some thinking

Thsc online and studocu.. just search Sydney tech year 9 papers or something like that and websites come up.

It’s basically online by kids from Sydney tech who choose to upload it to help other kids

dang ur lucky u go to ruse, im sure ruse has accelerated subjects or even harder
The accel subjects for ruse are music, agriculture, jap continuers, hms and software, ig i wouldnt mind doing accel music in year 10. I would've done an accel core subject(think eng, science, maths) if i had decided to stay in my current school tho 🫠

honestly it depends but on average I’d assume so some schools do it in a random ahh order so some do it in year 9 🥀

for my current school, earlier this yr i picked iSTEM, visual design (its different from art), and computing tech (even tho i hate coding), as for tech, it hasnt come out yet, the enrolment package is still being posted via auspost, but i imagine subject selection stuff will be in there, but ive already looked at subjects tech has, and im gonna choose design and tech, engineering, and graphics, also maths accelerated since im exceptional at maths, but u need a straight As in yr 7/8 maths at tech AND teacher recommendation to do that so..
teacher recommendation is pushing it 😭😭 bruh I ain’t getting no teachers recommendation if I was there. Plus on a side note I remember utterly despising computing technology, python and Java are despicable, the only good thing is when you look at your half successful project 😭😭😭 I failed every test except the stupid theory test

Ah so basically year 9 and 10 is supposed to cover everything in the 5.3 syllabus so schools get to choose when they learn what in the curriculum in the order they choose

True, but clockiework said schools like Sydney tech actually care so maybe that’s the case with Penrith and Girraween 😟
I lwk might first preference Penrith over Girraween so Penrith thinks I’d rather be there and accept me 😼
no its doesnt cuz i put 1st girra then penrith then hurlstone but i still accpeted in all skls regardless of my order

Mmm yeah I’m pretty sure yeah but some schools tend to be irresponsible and do sometimes advanced stuff band simple stuff at the same time which is so bad 💔💔
